# Sit Smart vs Align

The clearest difference is monetization model: Align at free with in-app purchases against Sit Smart's subscription. Align also leads on ratings volume (516 vs 1). Sit Smart's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sit Smart sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Align sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sit Smart holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Align has 516 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sit Smart ships an update weekly, Align every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
