# Komodo VPN vs EncryptChat X

The clearest difference is ads: EncryptChat X at none against Komodo VPN's shown. Komodo VPN's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Komodo VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and EncryptChat X sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
