# Blur Shine vs Focos

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Blur Shine at none against Focos's 12. Blur Shine also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Focos's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (51K vs 5). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focos sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Blur Shine asks for nothing beyond the download.

Blur Shine holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focos has 51K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Blur Shine's written reviews are positive against 50% of Focos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Blur Shine ships an update every 2 months, Focos every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
