# EMF Detector vs Radex

The clearest difference is rating: EMF Detector at 4.3 against Radex's 2.3. EMF Detector also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (319 vs 3). Radex's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (33% vs 25%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EMF Detector sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Radex asks for nothing beyond the download.

EMF Detector holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EMF Detector has 319 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of EMF Detector's written reviews are positive against 33% of Radex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EMF Detector ships an update every 2 weeks, Radex every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
