# Trace Life vs ThisMoment

The clearest difference is update cadence: Trace Life at every 5 days against ThisMoment's fortnightly. Trace Life also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace Life sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and ThisMoment sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trace Life ships an update every 5 days, ThisMoment fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
