# SyncTasks vs Hours Tracker

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SyncTasks at 352 against Hours Tracker's 12. Hours Tracker's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SyncTasks sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Hours Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SyncTasks against 4.7 for Hours Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SyncTasks has 352 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of SyncTasks's written reviews are positive against 67% of Hours Tracker's.

SyncTasks ships an update every 10 days, Hours Tracker every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
