# Auto Chilango vs Metro

The clearest difference is rating: Metro at 4.3 against Auto Chilango's 3.0. Metro also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (77 vs 15). Auto Chilango's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 55%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auto Chilango sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Metro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Metro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metro has 77 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Auto Chilango's written reviews are positive against 55% of Metro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Auto Chilango ships an update every 5 weeks, Metro every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
