# Bubblegum vs Flipside

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bubblegum at every 2 days against Flipside's fortnightly. Bubblegum also leads on ratings volume (175 vs 6) and monetization model (freemium vs paid). Flipside's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bubblegum sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Flipside sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bubblegum against 5.0 for Flipside. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bubblegum has 175 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Bubblegum's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flipside's.

Bubblegum ships an update every 2 days, Flipside fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
