# AUX Home vs AC Remote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AUX Home at 50% against AC Remote's 0%. AUX Home also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). AC Remote's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (120 vs 15). On price, update cadence and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AC Remote sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. AUX Home asks for nothing beyond the download.

AC Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AC Remote has 120 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of AUX Home's written reviews are positive against 0% of AC Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AUX Home ships an update every 3 weeks, AC Remote every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
