# Chromatose vs EasyMapper Projection Mapping

The clearest difference is rating: Chromatose at 4.6 against EasyMapper Projection Mapping's 1.0. Chromatose also leads on ratings volume (17 vs 1). EasyMapper Projection Mapping's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chromatose sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and EasyMapper Projection Mapping sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chromatose holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chromatose has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Chromatose's written reviews are positive against 100% of EasyMapper Projection Mapping's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chromatose ships an update every 3 months, EasyMapper Projection Mapping every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
