# Baja Fresh vs JOi Café

The clearest difference is rating: Baja Fresh at 4.5 against JOi Café's 3.4. Baja Fresh also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). JOi Café's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Baja Fresh holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Baja Fresh has 1.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Baja Fresh's written reviews are positive against 40% of JOi Café's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Baja Fresh ships an update every 3 weeks, JOi Café every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
