# The Open vs Go Pack Go

The clearest difference is rating: The Open at 4.6 against Go Pack Go's 2.5. The Open also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 24 months) and ratings volume (4.9K vs 2). Go Pack Go's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Open holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Open has 4.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The Open ships an update every 4 days, Go Pack Go every 24 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and June 5, 2026 respectively.
