# WikiTok vs TVTropes

The clearest difference is rating: TVTropes at 4.7 against WikiTok's 4.2. TVTropes also leads on review sentiment (46% vs 26%) and ratings volume (379 vs 57). WikiTok's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WikiTok sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and TVTropes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TVTropes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TVTropes has 379 ratings behind it against 57, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 26% of WikiTok's written reviews are positive against 46% of TVTropes's.

WikiTok ships an update every 5 days, TVTropes every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
