# GOC StartUp Fortress vs Shadowlight

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shadowlight at every 2 months against GOC StartUp Fortress's every 6 months. GOC StartUp Fortress's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GOC StartUp Fortress sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Shadowlight sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GOC StartUp Fortress ships an update every 6 months, Shadowlight every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
