# Boppn vs Friendly SMS

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Boppn at 19 against Friendly SMS's 1. Boppn also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Friendly SMS's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Boppn against 5.0 for Friendly SMS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boppn has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
