# 流年记 vs Tesseract

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tesseract at 110 against 流年记's 2. 流年记's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 78%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 流年记 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Tesseract sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for 流年记 against 4.5 for Tesseract. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tesseract has 110 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of 流年记's written reviews are positive against 78% of Tesseract's.

流年记 ships an update every 11 days, Tesseract fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
