# TLDL vs Anki Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TLDL at 73% against Anki Pro's 27%. TLDL also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (7.2K vs 164). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TLDL sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Anki Pro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TLDL holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TLDL has 7.2K ratings behind it against 164, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of TLDL's written reviews are positive against 27% of Anki Pro's.

TLDL ships an update every 9 days, Anki Pro weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
