# TLDL vs ClarityStudy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ClarityStudy at 100% against TLDL's 73%. ClarityStudy also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). TLDL's advantage is ratings volume (7.2K vs 4) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TLDL sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and ClarityStudy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TLDL holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TLDL has 7.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of TLDL's written reviews are positive against 100% of ClarityStudy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TLDL ships an update every 9 days, ClarityStudy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
