# TLDL vs Socranotes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Socranotes at 100% against TLDL's 73%. Socranotes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). TLDL's advantage is ratings volume (7.2K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TLDL sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Socranotes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Socranotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TLDL has 7.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of TLDL's written reviews are positive against 100% of Socranotes's.

TLDL ships an update every 9 days, Socranotes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
