# Pear vs Ayro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pear at none against Ayro's 8. Pear also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.0.0 vs 18.0). Ayro's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ayro sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Pear asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pear holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ayro has 32 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Pear ships an update every 6 days, Ayro weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
