# Shiny vs Komp TCG

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Shiny at 3.7K against Komp TCG's 16. Shiny also leads on chart position (#150 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shiny sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Komp TCG sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Shiny against 4.8 for Komp TCG. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shiny has 3.7K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 95% of Shiny's written reviews are positive against 89% of Komp TCG's.

Shiny ships an update every 5 days, Komp TCG every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
