# KTMO FM vs KZIM

The clearest difference is review sentiment: KZIM at 100% against KTMO FM's 33%. KZIM also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.3) and update cadence (every 5 months vs every 35 months). KTMO FM's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KZIM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KZIM has 22 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of KTMO FM's written reviews are positive against 100% of KZIM's.

KTMO FM ships an update every 35 months, KZIM every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
