# Free People vs AYBL

Free People and AYBL both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Free People's written reviews are positive against 24% of AYBL's. Free People also leads on ratings volume (305K vs 2.9K) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). AYBL's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Free People against 4.9 for AYBL. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Free People has 305K ratings behind it against 2.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Free People's written reviews are positive against 24% of AYBL's.

Free People ships an update every 2 weeks, AYBL every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
