# DoTintBar vs Tapd

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tapd at every 3 weeks against DoTintBar's every 6 months. DoTintBar's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DoTintBar ships an update every 6 months, Tapd every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
