# UpVPN vs LitVPN

The clearest difference is rating: UpVPN at 4.8 against LitVPN's 3.0. UpVPN also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UpVPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per year and LitVPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UpVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UpVPN has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UpVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, LitVPN every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
