# Speedwork vs RestOrTrain

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Speedwork at 100% against RestOrTrain's 64%. Speedwork also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). RestOrTrain's advantage is ratings volume (606 vs 8) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedwork sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and RestOrTrain sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speedwork holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RestOrTrain has 606 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Speedwork's written reviews are positive against 64% of RestOrTrain's.

Speedwork ships an update every 2 weeks, RestOrTrain every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
