# MAPCO Rewards vs Sun Tan City

The clearest difference is rating: Sun Tan City at 4.5 against MAPCO Rewards's 3.6. Sun Tan City also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (12K vs 160). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sun Tan City holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sun Tan City has 12K ratings behind it against 160, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of MAPCO Rewards's written reviews are positive against 22% of Sun Tan City's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MAPCO Rewards ships an update every 6 weeks, Sun Tan City every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
