# VPN vs BLACKTEMPLE

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 4.4 against BLACKTEMPLE's 3.6. On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 98 and 48 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 51% of BLACKTEMPLE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN ships an update every 4 days, BLACKTEMPLE weekly. Both last shipped on November 8, 2026.
