# Hand Talk vs DNE Digital

The clearest difference is rating: DNE Digital at 4.7 against Hand Talk's 4.2. DNE Digital also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). Hand Talk's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 27%) and ratings volume (888 vs 44). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hand Talk sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. DNE Digital asks for nothing beyond the download.

DNE Digital holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hand Talk has 888 ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Hand Talk's written reviews are positive against 27% of DNE Digital's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hand Talk ships an update every 3 weeks, DNE Digital every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
