# MOON vs MOON Pro

The clearest difference is ads: MOON at none against MOON Pro's shown. MOON also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (30K vs 69). MOON Pro's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MOON sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per year and MOON Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MOON holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MOON has 30K ratings behind it against 69, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of MOON's written reviews are positive against 89% of MOON Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
