# ASUS OmniStor vs SyncOnSet 5.0

The clearest difference is rating: ASUS OmniStor at 2.0 against SyncOnSet 5.0's 1.7. ASUS OmniStor also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). SyncOnSet 5.0's advantage is ratings volume (61 vs 3) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ASUS OmniStor holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SyncOnSet 5.0 has 61 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of ASUS OmniStor's written reviews are positive against 3% of SyncOnSet 5.0's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ASUS OmniStor ships an update every 3 months, SyncOnSet 5.0 monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
