# Double View vs ABCD Spelling

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ABCD Spelling at 100% against Double View's 55%. ABCD Spelling also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Double View's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.3) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 12.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Double View sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and ABCD Spelling sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Double View holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Double View's written reviews are positive against 100% of ABCD Spelling's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Double View ships an update every 4 months, ABCD Spelling monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
