# Donut Maker vs Cupcake games

The clearest difference is ads: Donut Maker at none against Cupcake games's shown. Donut Maker also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Donut Maker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Cupcake games sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Donut Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.8K and 3.7K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Donut Maker's written reviews are positive against 87% of Cupcake games's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
