# DayCalc vs Calculator

The clearest difference is ads: Calculator at none against DayCalc's shown. Calculator also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 128) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). DayCalc's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 71%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DayCalc sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Calculator sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for DayCalc against 4.8 for Calculator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator has 1.9K ratings behind it against 128, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of DayCalc's written reviews are positive against 71% of Calculator's.

DayCalc ships an update every 3 weeks, Calculator every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
