# DayCalc vs Watch Notes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DayCalc at 87% against Watch Notes's 47%. DayCalc also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Watch Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DayCalc sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Watch Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DayCalc holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DayCalc has 126 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of DayCalc's written reviews are positive against 47% of Watch Notes's.

DayCalc ships an update every 3 weeks, Watch Notes every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
