# Shortcut Remote vs Midi Suite

The clearest difference is rating: Midi Suite at 3.1 against Shortcut Remote's 1.3. Shortcut Remote's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (13% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Midi Suite holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 1.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Shortcut Remote's written reviews are positive against 0% of Midi Suite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
