# Berry vs Holiv

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Holiv at 75% against Berry's 8%. Holiv also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Berry's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Berry sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Holiv sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Holiv holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Berry has 1.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 8% of Berry's written reviews are positive against 75% of Holiv's.

Berry ships an update every 6 days, Holiv every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
