# Learn Spanish vs ¡Learn Spanish!

The clearest difference is monetization model: ¡Learn Spanish! at free against Learn Spanish's free with in-app purchases. ¡Learn Spanish! also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Learn Spanish's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 2.4K) and review sentiment (78% vs 68%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Learn Spanish sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and ¡Learn Spanish! sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

¡Learn Spanish! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Learn Spanish has 16K ratings behind it against 2.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Learn Spanish's written reviews are positive against 68% of ¡Learn Spanish!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Learn Spanish ships an update fortnightly, ¡Learn Spanish! every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
