# Control4 vs The Novus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Control4 at fortnightly against The Novus's monthly. The Novus's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Control4 ships an update fortnightly, The Novus monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
