# Guest Mode vs Secure Shield Manager

The clearest difference is rating: Guest Mode at 4.6 against Secure Shield Manager's 4.1. Guest Mode also leads on ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Guest Mode sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Secure Shield Manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Guest Mode holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Guest Mode's written reviews are positive against 91% of Secure Shield Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guest Mode ships an update every 5 days, Secure Shield Manager every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
