# AI Note Taker vs ThunderNotes

The clearest difference is rating: AI Note Taker at 4.7 against ThunderNotes's 2.3. AI Note Taker also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 3). ThunderNotes's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 28%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Note Taker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and ThunderNotes sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Note Taker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Note Taker has 2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of AI Note Taker's written reviews are positive against 67% of ThunderNotes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AI Note Taker ships an update every 6 weeks, ThunderNotes every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
