# AI Note Taker vs FoxNote

The clearest difference is ads: FoxNote at none against AI Note Taker's shown. FoxNote also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). AI Note Taker's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 344). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Note Taker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and FoxNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Note Taker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Note Taker has 2.1K ratings behind it against 344, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of AI Note Taker's written reviews are positive against 29% of FoxNote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AI Note Taker ships an update every 6 weeks, FoxNote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
