# CalBot vs StepSaga

The clearest difference is ratings volume: CalBot at 4K against StepSaga's 7. StepSaga's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 78%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CalBot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and StepSaga sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepSaga holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CalBot has 4K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of CalBot's written reviews are positive against 100% of StepSaga's.

CalBot ships an update every 2 weeks, StepSaga every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
