# Formula Apex vs Formula Widgets

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Formula Widgets at 18.0 against Formula Apex's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formula Apex sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Formula Widgets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Formula Apex ships an update fortnightly, Formula Widgets every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
