# Riptide GP2 vs ST

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Riptide GP2 at 91% against ST's 0%. Riptide GP2 also leads on ratings volume (7K vs 1) and chart position (#203 vs unranked). ST's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Riptide GP2 sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and ST sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ST holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Riptide GP2 has 7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Riptide GP2's written reviews are positive against 0% of ST's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Riptide GP2 ships an update every 2 months, ST every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
