# Riptide GP2 vs AGentleman

The clearest difference is rating: Riptide GP2 at 4.8 against AGentleman's 3.6. Riptide GP2 also leads on ratings volume (7K vs 7) and chart position (#190 vs unranked). AGentleman's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Riptide GP2 sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and AGentleman sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Riptide GP2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Riptide GP2 has 7K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Riptide GP2's written reviews are positive against 100% of AGentleman's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
