# Study Quest vs Study Surfers

The clearest difference is rating: Study Surfers at 5.0 against Study Quest's 4.1. Study Surfers also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). Study Quest's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (65% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study Quest sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Study Surfers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Study Surfers holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Study Quest's written reviews are positive against 50% of Study Surfers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Study Quest ships an update monthly, Study Surfers every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
