# Written vs Tenday

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tenday at every 3 weeks against Written's every 12 months. Written's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Written sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tenday sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Written against 5.0 for Tenday. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Written ships an update every 12 months, Tenday every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
