# Written vs Buw

The clearest difference is update cadence: Buw at every 2 months against Written's every 12 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Written sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Buw sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Written ships an update every 12 months, Buw every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
