# AI Mate vs iTV Remote

The clearest difference is rating: AI Mate at 4.5 against iTV Remote's 4.1. AI Mate also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). iTV Remote's advantage is review sentiment (26% vs 15%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Mate sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and iTV Remote sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Mate holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 62 and 31 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of AI Mate's written reviews are positive against 26% of iTV Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AI Mate ships an update every 2 weeks, iTV Remote fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
